Fascia is one of the most overlooked yet essential components of the human body. It’s a thin, tough, and flexible layer of connective tissue that wraps around and supports every muscle, bone, organ, nerve, and blood vessel—essentially acting as a full-body internal web. 🧠 What Does Fascia Do?
Fascia isn’t just filler—it’s a dynamic system with key responsibilities:
Structural Support: It helps maintain posture and alignment by connecting and stabilizing body parts.
Movement Coordination: Fascia allows muscles to glide smoothly over one another and transmits force across muscle groups.
Protection and Insulation: It cushions organs and tissues, helping absorb shock and maintain internal integrity.
Communication: Fascia contains nerves and plays a role in proprioception—your sense of body position and movement.
